Driving & flight simulator systems

This line groups the company's simulation platforms by the job they train or test. The road and air trainers — racing, driving, flight sim and the dual-mode flight driving simulator — are built on 6-DOF motion bases, with response figures published per model — a response time of 10 ms or better on the racing and driving platforms — so read each figure on its own platform page rather than as a line figure. Specialist systems extend the same engineering to marine simulation, tank crew training and mission rehearsal.

Two platforms that are not vehicle trainers

The earthquake simulation platform is a 6.0 x 9.0 m shaking table rated for 120-ton test structures, used for seismic research and building-component testing rather than crew training. The film set simulation platform turns the rendering side of simulation toward virtual production, compositing LED backgrounds and live actors in real time at 8K HDR.

Choosing a motion base

Most platforms in this line are 6-DOF; drive type is the real decision — servo electric cylinders for precision and cleanliness, hydraulic drive for the heaviest loads and accelerations.
