Magnetic climbing robot systems

These robots work where people should not have to: vertical and curved steel surfaces tens of metres above ground or dock. Permanent-magnet adhesion holds the crawler on the wall while it drives ultra-high-pressure water jets, abrasive blasting or spray guns across the surface. The line is organised by task: the general-purpose climbing wall robot and industrial wall climbing robot, tank and height specialists in the tank rust removal robot and high-altitude operation robot, marine and energy variants in the ship hull cleaning robot and wind turbine maintenance robot, and a dedicated anti-corrosion coating robot to close the strip-and-recoat cycle with one fleet.

Published working figures

Water jetting at 2,800 bar (280 MPa) is published on three models — the climbing wall robot, the tank rust removal robot and the wind turbine maintenance robot; the remaining jetting models publish rates without a pressure figure, so ask for the process and pressure specification of the model you are scoping; rust removal rates span 15–70 sqm per hour depending on model and surface grade (Sa2.5 is the published reference); wastewater recovery is rated at 95% or better on the tank and hull models; and two models carry explosion-proof grades — Ex d IIC T4 and Ex d IIB T4 — for petrochemical environments. The coating robot sprays up to 800 sqm per hour in dual-gun mode.

Where buyers deploy them

The published application scenarios are petrochemical storage tanks (inside and out), ship hulls in dry dock, wind turbine towers above 120 metres, and industrial walls reached through openings as small as a DN600 manhole.
