Driving simulation platform
A research-grade driving simulator: real-time vehicle dynamics at <=3% model error, sensor-fusion and V2X test scenarios, and physiological driver monitoring on a 6-DOF platform.
The driving simulation platform is organised as six functional modules, and the list explains who it is for. High-precision vehicle dynamics simulation runs on a 6-degree-of-freedom motion platform with physical engines for tire models, suspension systems and power transmission. Multi-sensor fusion simulation reproduces LiDAR, camera and millimeter-wave radar so perception algorithms can be tested in closed loop inside a virtual environment. V2X communication simulation covers vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) scenarios with real-time data exchange under simulated 5G/DSRC protocols — a digital-twin test bench, not an arcade rig.
The hardware matches the brief. The motion platform is a 6-DOF Stewart platform with servo electric cylinder drive (response <=10 ms, maximum load >=200 kg); some high-end models support 9-degree-of-freedom dynamic simulation for effects such as bumpy road surfaces and sideslip feedback. The standard display is a 3-channel 42-inch LCD at 3,840 x 2,160 with a horizontal viewing angle of 150 degrees or more, with VR or 180-degree surround projection as options. Inputs are real-car level: force-feedback steering wheel, pedals and automatic transmission, compatible with a driver monitoring system (DMS) and physiological monitoring of heart rate and respiratory rate.
Published performance: the vehicle dynamics model supports real-time body simulation with error of 3% or less and customisable vehicle parameters (wheelbase, tire friction coefficient); dynamic scene refresh is 60 Hz or higher with action delay of 20 ms or less; heart-rate detection spans 30–200 beats per minute at an error of 3 beats or less. Driving schools, OEM test teams and autonomy developers are the natural buyers; for pure flight training, see the flight sim hydraulic platform.
Six core functional modules
- Vehicle dynamics simulation — 6-DOF platform, tire/suspension/powertrain physical engines.
- Multi-sensor fusion simulation — LiDAR, camera, millimeter-wave radar; closed-loop perception testing.
- V2X communication simulation — V2I and V2V scenarios under simulated 5G/DSRC protocols.
- Digital twin scenarios — virtual environments for repeatable test conditions.
- Driver monitoring — DMS compatibility plus heart-rate and respiratory monitoring.
- Custom vehicle parameters — wheelbase, tire friction coefficient and more, set per test programme.

What to confirm for your project
- Specify your test programme, not just the hardware: sensor sets, V2X protocol scope and vehicle parameter sets are configuration items.
- Decide whether you need the 9-DOF high-end variant — it exists for road-surface and sideslip work that a 6-DOF base cannot reproduce.
- Ask about minimum order requirements and lead time for your proposed configuration, including the software module scope.
Buyer questions
Is this a training simulator or a test bench?
Both, by module selection: the same platform runs driver training (real-car controls, DMS, physiological monitoring) and engineering testing (vehicle dynamics at <=3% error, sensor fusion, V2X scenarios).
What sensors can it simulate?
LiDAR, camera and millimeter-wave radar are the published sensor simulations, used for closed-loop testing of perception algorithms in virtual environments.
How accurate is the vehicle model?
The published figure is real-time body simulation error of 3% or less, with customisable parameters such as wheelbase and tire friction coefficient.
