Flying theater cost: what drives the price
There is no shelf price for a flying theater, because there is no shelf product. This page lists the factors your quotation is actually built from, so you can brief a supplier properly.
Searchers asking 'flying theater price' usually want a number. The honest answer from any manufacturer is a list: a flying theater is engineered to a building, a capacity and a film, and the price follows those decisions. What we can do — and what a serious supplier should do — is show you the cost structure so your brief produces a comparable quotation.
The five cost blocks
- Screen system. Diameter is the first multiplier: this line spans a 5-metre LED dome to 30-metre projection domes. Technology is the second: LED domes carry panel cost but no projectors; projection carries projector count, stitching and a darkened hall. See the dome screen guide.
- Motion system. Seat count times platform complexity. A suspended 6-DOF system for 72–96 guests (see the suspended dome flying theater) is a different machine from a compact platform theater, and the price follows the steel.
- Effects and show control. Wind, mist, vibration, scent, leg-sweep — each module is hardware plus authoring.
- Building works. The silent budget line: an 18–21.5 m clear height and 310–416 kW of 380V power for the suspended format are building costs, not equipment costs. A compact model (the flying dome cinema publishes a 56 sqm compact footprint) exists precisely to shrink this block.
- Content. Flying films with motion and effects tracks, licensed or custom-produced (including IP scene development). A theater without a film pipeline is a room.
How to get a real number
Send four things: your hall dimensions (or site), target seats per cycle, the screen technology you prefer (or 'advise me'), and your market. With those, ask for configuration, scope and project terms — including minimum order requirements and lead time — to be quoted as one number with a configuration behind it. That is what the project inquiry form is for. Quotations that arrive without those four inputs are guesses, whichever supplier sends them.
None
Tell us the product line, your venue or site conditions, the capacity you need and your target market. Ask about configuration, scope and project terms for your specific project before you commit.
