Flight driving simulator
One platform, two syllabi: flight and ground driving modes switch in five seconds or less on the same 6-DOF servo base, with magnetic modular controls for each mode.
The flight driving simulator exists for schools that teach both air and ground syllabi but only have floor space — and budget — for one motion base. Its core technology is seamless dual-mode switching: the system switches quickly between flight and ground driving scenarios (response time of 5 seconds or less) using the same hardware platform, a 6-degree-of-freedom motion base that simulates both flight attitude and road bumps. An integrated dual operation interface — flight control stick plus steering wheel — achieves rapid replacement of physical control equipment through a magnetic modular design, so the cabin itself converts with the software.
Environmental simulation is specified per mode. Flight mode simulates extreme weather (thunderstorms, wind shear) and complex airspace such as ultra-low-altitude flight in mountainous and urban areas, with wind speed simulation error of 1.5 m/s or less. Ground mode restores special road conditions for vehicle training on the same base.
The published hardware: a 6DOF electric servo platform with maximum load of 250 kg, acceleration of +/-4G and positioning accuracy of 0.05 mm; a dual-mode display (flight mode: 200-degree surround screen at 4K; ground mode: 3-screen splicing at 120 Hz refresh); controls including a flight side stick with force feedback of +/-8N, a detachable steering wheel with a 900-degree steering angle, and a metal pedal assembly with pressure sensing at +/-2% error. The simulation model supports 20+ aircraft (including helicopters and drones) and 15+ ground vehicles (including special vehicles), with physics engines supporting Unity and Unreal.
Core technology on record
- Seamless dual-mode switching — flight and ground scenarios on one base, switching in <=5 s.
- Magnetic modular controls — flight stick and steering wheel swap physically as fast as the software.
- High-precision environment simulation — thunderstorms, wind shear, ultra-low-altitude airspace in flight mode; special road surfaces in ground mode.

What to confirm for your project
- List the aircraft and vehicle types in your syllabus — the platform supports 20+ and 15+ respectively, and your set is configuration scope.
- Plan the timetable around the 5-second switch: dual-mode only pays if the schedule actually interleaves air and ground sessions.
- Ask about minimum order requirements and lead time for your proposed configuration.
