Line 05 · Magnetic Climbing Robot
Wind turbine maintenance robot
Built for towers: magnetic and vacuum adhesion combined, work above 120 metres on the customised model, and rust removal at 50–70 sqm/h — five to eight times the published manual rate.
The wind turbine maintenance robot adapts the crawler to towers and other very tall steel. Its lead published advantage is adhesion redundancy: a combination of magnetic adsorption and vacuum adsorption technology replaces manual high-altitude operations and eliminates the risk of falling, supporting high-altitude operations above 120 metres and adapting to the maintenance of vertical and curved surfaces such as ship outer walls and petrochemical storage tanks as well as turbine towers.
The second published advantage speaks to petrochemical cross-over work: an explosion-proof design at Ex d IIB T4 level meets the requirements of flammable and explosive environments for petrochemical storage tanks, avoiding safety accidents caused by static sparks. Note the grade difference inside the line — the high-altitude operation robot publishes Ex d IIC T4, the stricter rating; specify against your site's classification, not by habit.
Performance figures: rust removal efficiency of 50–70 sqm/h in ultra-high-pressure water jet mode, stated as 5–8 times higher than manual operation, with support for 24-hour continuous operation; whole machine weight of 90 kg or less; mobile speed of 8 m/min unloaded and 4 m/min operating; water jet pressure of 2,800 bar (280 MPa); and a maximum operating height of 120 metres on the customised model.
Main advantages on record
- Dual adhesion — magnetic + vacuum adsorption for vertical and curved surfaces above 120 m.
- Explosion-proof design — Ex d IIB T4 for flammable and explosive environments.
- Rate advantage — 50–70 sqm/h, stated at 5–8x manual operation, with 24-hour continuous operation support.

What to confirm for your project
- The 120 m figure is for the customised model — ask about the standard configuration against your tower height.
- Adhesion method matters on coated towers: magnetic + vacuum dual adhesion is the published answer for curved and coated surfaces — confirm your coating stack in the brief.
- Ask about minimum order requirements and lead time for your proposed configuration.
Buyer questions
Why two adhesion systems?
Magnetic adsorption holds on steel; vacuum adsorption adds grip on coated and curved surfaces. The combination is the published design for towers above 120 m and curved structures.
How much faster than manual work is it?
The product page states rust removal at 50–70 sqm/h — 5 to 8 times higher than manual operation — and supports 24-hour continuous operation.
Can it work in petrochemical areas?
Its explosion-proof design is Ex d IIB T4. If your zone classification needs IIC, look at the high-altitude operation robot at Ex d IIC T4.
